Most of these kitchens fail electrically, and the appliance still looks fine
Control boards, induction coil boards, cooling fans and touch interfaces are what we replace in 32003 — usually on equipment that is otherwise sound. One manufacturer, one van, and the supply measured before anything is condemned.
Doctors Lake Kitchen Co. is an independent repair company working Thermador appliances only, inside 30 miles of Fleming Island. Flat-rate diagnostic visit, credited in full toward the repair if you go ahead with the work.

Storm season, and a housing stock that ages all at once
Roughly 68 thunderstorm days a year in this part of north Florida. Surge and near-strike transients are the single most common cause of control-board failure we see.
Matthew in 2016, Irma in 2017 and Helene in 2024 each left parts of this area without power for more than a day. The calls that follow an event like that do not all arrive at once — a control board or an inverter compressor that took a hit often runs for weeks before it quits.
Much of Fleming Island was built out between the mid-1990s and the late 2000s, so the built-in appliances fitted at construction are now fifteen to thirty years old. Whole streets reach that age at once, which is why one kitchen often produces three calls in a year.
Built-in equipment has to leave its opening before most of it can be worked on. Cabinet width, top clearance, panel weight, the door casing and the route out of the room decide how a visit runs, so we ask about them before we arrive rather than on the doorstep.
A near-strike does not have to trip a breaker to do damage. It couples a transient into the branch circuit that lasts microseconds — far too short for a breaker, which responds to sustained overcurrent, but long enough to take out a low-voltage board. The tell is two appliances on one circuit going down in the same afternoon, and it is why we measure the supply under load before condemning a part.
What we take on
Six appliance families, one manufacturer. Nothing else rides in the van, which is why the right board is usually already in it.

The ground inside the radius
A parcel gets its own sheet only when there is something true about that ground and nowhere else — a build-out year, a circuit vintage, a shoreline.

What owners said after the visit
4.5 out of 5, across 27 customer reviews. Each one below is a single visit, in the words of the person who paid for it.
The touch surface was registering presses nobody had made. He lifted the glass, found moisture wicking under the edge from a failed seal, dried it out and resealed it. No phantom presses in the weeks since.
Garrett W.
The column held freezer temperature but the fresh side sat near fifty. He traced it to a damper motor that had stopped opening, not the compressor we were braced for. Replaced it and watched the cabinet pull down before he left.
Corinne B.
A drone in the hood that was not there last year turned out to be the backdraft damper slapping in the wind off the water. He fitted a weighted damper and the noise has gone. The lights got a proper look too.
Colette R.
