What is covered, for how long, and what is not
90 days on labor, 365 days on parts, on every repair we complete. Genuine OEM parts only.
Labor — 90 days
If the same fault returns within 90 days of the completion date, we come back and there is no second diagnostic fee and no labour charge. That covers the diagnosis being wrong as well as the repair failing — both are ours.
Parts — 365 days
A part we supplied and fitted is covered for 365 days from the completion date. Parts are genuine OEM, sourced through parts distribution. We do not fit pattern components into a sealed refrigerant system, and we do not fit a used board pulled from another machine.
A part you supplied yourself carries no warranty from us. We will fit it if you want, and we will tell you plainly when we think it is the wrong part, but the labour on refitting it a second time is chargeable.
What is excluded
- Surge and lightning damage. Excluded here as it is under essentially every appliance warranty including the manufacturer's own. Roughly 68 thunderstorm days a year in this part of north Florida. Surge and near-strike transients are the single most common cause of control-board failure we see. The field note on storm season explains what this looks like and what is worth doing before June.
- A different fault on the same appliance. A new symptom is a new call, at the normal diagnostic fee.
- Damage from installation or cabinetry. An oven boxed in with no cooling path will cook its own board again. We will tell you that on the first visit; if the cabinetry is not changed, the repeat is not a warranty failure.
- Water damage, pest damage and physical impact.
- Work performed by anyone else on the same component after we left.
- Consumables — filters, bulbs, and anything the owner's manual lists as a user-replaceable item.
Making a claim
Call (904) 775-7957 with the date of the original visit and the model number. We keep the record on our side; you do not need to produce the invoice, though it makes it faster.
How this relates to the factory warranty
It does not replace it. If your appliance is still inside its original Thermador warranty, call the manufacturer first — a repair by an independent company can affect that coverage. We are an independent company, we hold no manufacturer authorization, and we cannot perform work chargeable to the factory.

What does the warranted work itself cost?
The visit is $80. Beyond that, the honest answer is a band and not a number, because the same symptom has two or three candidate causes and they do not cost the same. The bands that fit this page are below. Parts and labour together, the work on this sheet lands between $440 and $2,360. The exact number is set down in writing once the fault has been read, and nothing is ordered until you have seen it.

- Why is storm damage excluded?
- Because no warranty in this trade covers it, including the manufacturer’s own. A transient reaches a board through the branch circuit, and with roughly 68 thunderstorm days a year here the exposure is the house, not the repair. Surge protection at the panel is the answer to it.
- How long does the Thermador warranty last?
- That one is for Thermador rather than for us. We are an independent company, we do not administer the manufacturer’s cover and we will not quote a term we cannot stand behind. What we can state is ours: 90 days on labour and 365 days on parts, on every repair we complete.
- Does the warranty change what a repair costs?
- No. The bands are the bands: $180–$540 for a sensor or thermostat, $440–$1,050 for a board or touch panel, and the cover above is included rather than sold. There is no extended plan to decline, because there is none to buy.
