Why one manufacturer

A generalist carries a little of everything and finishes about half the calls on the first trip. Narrowing to a single manufacturer changes the arithmetic: the stock in the van is chosen against one parts catalogue, one set of service positions and one family of control boards, so the odds of the right component already being on board are high enough to plan around.

That is a business decision we made, not an appointment anyone granted us. We hold no manufacturer authorization and we do not claim any. If your appliance is still inside its original factory warranty, call the manufacturer before you call us — an independent repair can affect that coverage, and we would rather tell you than take the visit fee.

Why Clay County specifically

Much of Fleming Island was built out between the mid-1990s and the late 2000s, so the built-in appliances fitted at construction are now fifteen to thirty years old. Whole streets reach that age at once, which is why one kitchen often produces three calls in a year.

Roughly 68 thunderstorm days a year in this part of north Florida. Surge and near-strike transients are the single most common cause of control-board failure we see.

Matthew in 2016, Irma in 2017 and Helene in 2024 each left parts of this area without power for more than a day. The calls that follow an event like that do not all arrive at once — a control board or an inverter compressor that took a hit often runs for weeks before it quits.

Working one county rather than three means the drive between calls is short enough to come back the same week when a part lands, and it means we already know which subdivisions were built out when, which kitchens were retrofitted into cabinetry from an earlier decade, and which openings will not accept a modern column without work. That is local knowledge in the only sense that saves anyone money.

Scope: Built-in equipment has to leave its opening before most of it can be worked on. Cabinet width, top clearance, panel weight, the door casing and the route out of the room decide how a visit runs, so we ask about them before we arrive rather than on the doorstep.

• A written estimate comes before any part is ordered or any repair begins. Nothing proceeds without your approval.
• Genuine OEM parts, never a pattern substitute in a sealed system.
• No street address is published, because there is no counter to walk into. We are mobile and we come to the appliance.
